Ventura Beach Marriott Hotel, Ventura

The hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms were stunning with a comfy bed and a big screen TV, but the cleanliness could have been better. The service was a mix of rude and unprofessional behavior alongside friendly and helpful staff. The location was perfect, close to the beach and restaurants, but there were some issues with noise and random people around. The dining experience was excellent, and the facilities were decent.

The hotel had some mixed aspects to it. On the positive side, the location was great for walking around the marina and hanging out with friends, but it could be a bit isolated if you need to move around without a car. The rooms had some issues with unpleasant odors and not quite matching the overall hotel vibe. The service was friendly overall but had some inconsistencies, and while the dining options were ample and fresh, they were set up in the temporary lobby. However, the hotel facilities were well-maintained and offered dry cleaning services, though the value for money could be debated.

The hotel surprised me with its essentially brand new rooms, exceeding my expectations. Although not as clean as I had hoped, the garden/courtyard view added a nice touch to our stay. The service had its ups and downs, with some staff members being quite rude and condescending during payment issues, but others like Rebekah went above and beyond with friendliness and helpfulness. The location was great for beach access and convenience, but the Wi-Fi charges seemed unnecessary given the room rate. Dining was a remarkable experience with exceptional service and homemade local products available. Overall, a mixed but memorable stay.
